Update

92% design finished
38% artwork finished

We've had some programming setbacks that have yet to be resolved mostly because many of our guys are moving into finals week at their respective colleges. Once summer rolls around we expect the pace of progress to double if not triple.

Wow...

Sad news; theres a 3 year waiting list for exhibitor booths at ComicCon, and therefore it is extremely unlikely we'll be able to advertise there this year. We apologize for any hype brought on by our early aspirations. We'll continue to seek out venues where we can showcase our upcoming game.

Development News

The Pumpkin Betrayal cares:

We recycle.

We also know that the community wants to know what's going on at the office and how far this game has progressed.

Recently, the art team finished their 73rd card. At a growing rate currently at 1.73 cards per day, we will meet our deadline of 140 cards at the end of April. Thanks to lead artist Nick Modica, of course:

The design team finished designing their 130th card, after designing the User Interface required to play the game.

Good job Ryan

and Kevin (middle).

The programming team, Yoav (left), Rey & Andrew (not in picture), also finished the game engine and are now working on the Networking & GUI layers of the game. A very small closed alpha version is aimed to be playable at the end of this week.

Last, Derrick (right) has been planning marketing strategies to get this game out into the world (as described in the previous post). We plan on showcasing the game at Fanime in San Jose (May), Comic Con in San Diego (July), and Genesis in Antioch (July). Be there if you want goodies.

News

So we're making plans for going to Comic Con and advertising by giving away free t-shirts and stuff. The game is a week or so away from being playable, and we've got a new graphic designer, Boback, working on the graphical user interface. Hopefully we'll have some screenies up on our site when the game is working and we'll be able to put up a trailer shortly thereafter.
